Yes. Visitors can legally buy cannabis by self-certifying as a DC medical patient, or if they have a medical card from a reciprocity state.

DC applies 6% sales tax to all medical cannabis purchases. There is no additional excise tax for medical patients.

Non-DC visitors can register for a temporary DC medical cannabis patient card and choose how long they want it to last. Current ABCA fees are: 3-day pass: $10, 30-day pass: $20, 90-day pass: $50, 180-day pass: $75, 365-day pass (1 year): $100. To get started, simply click the “Self-Certify – Out-of-State / Tourist” button. The registration takes only a few minutes, and the digital medical card is emailed instantly so visitors can shop at High Demand DC right away.
